UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
November 2, 2017-- John Romines, vice president of seed sales with WinField United, Land O’Lakes, is the 2017 Innovator in Residence speaker at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He will present “Growing a Brighter Future,” on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. in the Riverview Ballroom in the University Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Romines will discuss using innovation in agriculture to grow more food with fewer resources to feed a growing population. He grew up on a diversified livestock and burley tobacco farm in southern Kentucky. After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1986, he began his career in the cooperative system. He has gained valuable experience while moving through the cooperative system ranks and serving in numerous capacities in the agri-business channel. During his tenure, Romines had the opportunity to be involved with six different national cooperative systems.
