Meet Peter Speckman

Hometown: Brodhead
Year: Senior 
Major: Environmental Science

Peter Speckman has been serving in the Wisconsin Air Force National Guard since 2017. He found the UW-River Falls campus community very welcoming.

“I feel that UW-River Falls is very inclusive and offers a variety of opportunities and resources for student veterans,” Peter said. 

Peter’s love for the environment and agriculture led him to find a home at UWRF. He is very fond of the small, rural community. After graduation, Peter hopes to acquire a full-time position in the environmental science field with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. 

“I have found the Veteran Services here on campus to be very beneficial,” said Peter. “They are always willing to help with paperwork and let you know about the benefits available.”
