Outdoor Summer Concert Series Begins June 23

June 12, 2015 -- The University of Wisconsin-River Falls annual free summer concert series, "Chill on the Hill," kicks off Tuesday, June 23, in the Melvin Wall Amphitheatre, located on campus along the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic River. 

This year's concerts, all beginning at 7 p.m., are: 

  • Tuesday, June 23, Chris Silver presents the Good Intentions (Bluegrass)
  • Tuesday, June 30, Kids from Wisconsin (Show Choir)
  • Tuesday, July 7, Bunny Clogs  (Folky fun for all ages)
  • Tuesday, July 14, Tommy Bentz Band (Rock and Roll)
  • Tuesday, July 21, Surprise performance from a  Minneapolis pop rock band – artist will be officially announced at a later date
  • Tuesday, July 28, St. Croix Valley Community Band (Featuring the music of Ireland, Scotland, and Spain)
  • Tuesday, Aug. 4, Chastity Brown (Acoustic Roots/ Soul).

The Chill on the Hill summer concerts are free and open to the public. Grilled food, beverages, ice cream and Rush River beer will be available for purchase. Carry-in alcoholic beverages are prohibited, but personal picnics and beverages are allowed. Smoking is prohibited and dogs must remain on leashes. In the event of inclement weather, the concerts will be moved indoors to the University Center, where food and beverages will be available for purchase.
