Open house informational sessions for teachers offered at UW-River Falls

May 17, 2018—The University of Wisconsin-River Falls invites teachers and other educational professionals interested in improving their teaching practice and earning a master’s degree to attend one of two informational sessions this month.

Elizabeth Janey, professor in the UWRF College of Education and Professional Studies, will provide information about the master of science in education degree, Professional Development Learning Community.

“We use a learning community model that connects theory into practice, practice into strategy, and strategy into transformation,” said Janey. “Upon completion, graduates are well positioned to become an educational leader in their school or other educational workplace.”

Interested students are welcome to attend one of two sessions from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, at the UWRF Hudson Center in Hudson, or Thursday, May 31, at Angelina’s Kitchen in Woodbury, Minn. Reservations are requested but not required and can be made by contacting UWRF at 715-425-3665 or by email to elizabeth.janey@uwrf.edu
