Native Pride Dancers mark Native American Heritage Month

 

October 25, 2018--Celebrate Native American Heritage Month at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with the Native Pride Dancers and food on Friday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Falcon’s Nest in the University Center. The event is free and open to everyone.

Based in St. Paul, Native Pride's performances incorporate information about the dances, the regalia (dress), and the meaning and importance of the traditions of Native American peoples. Their talent roster includes members of numerous tribal nations including Meskwaki, Navajo, Dakota, Lakota, Ojibwe, Lumbee, Cree, Pueblo, Choctaw, and Chickasaw. They have performed locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
