Kids From Wisconsin to perform 50th show at UW-River Falls July 25

July 8, 2025 - The Kids From Wisconsin will perform a free show at 6 p.m. on July 25 at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Melvin Wall Amphitheatre outdoor stage. The concert will mark the group’s 50th appearance at UWRF since the group formed in 1969. The show is open to the public.
 
For their “The Heat is On – Summer Playlist” tour, the 57th Kids From Wisconsin troupe curated a playlist to accompany the season, bringing together the most iconic and sun-drenched medleys that transport audiences to lazy beach days, family road trips, backyard barbecues and late-night sing-along bonfires. The show features throwbacks of Woodstock, celebrating the United States’ birthday, the 4th of July, iconic summer movie blockbuster musical scores, warm sand beach tunes and much more. The show is designed to be enjoyed by all ages. 
 
“Kids From Wisconsin is such a beloved tradition in this town,” said Elise Peters, assistant director of student involvement. “The mass turnout year after year is a true testament to the power of music and art in the River Falls community. I am proud to be a part of this tradition and look forward to enjoying an evening on the hill with everyone!”
 
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to sit on and arrive early to get a good seat. The venue opens at 5 p.m. Pets are allowed, but all pets must remain on a leash.
 
Grilled food, ice cream and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase beginning at 5:30. Personal picnics and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed but carry-in alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited.
 
In case of inclement weather, the show will be held in Hunt Arena at the Falcon Center. Free parking is available in N and G lots. Rain site parking will be available in Pay Lot 3.
