Homecoming week celebrated Sept. 25-Oct. 1 

Sept. 14, 2023 - The public is invited to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to celebrate in Homecoming festivities featuring a wide range of activities throughout the week of September 25 to October 1. Traditional and new events will bring together students, families, alums and the River Falls community. 

“Homecoming is more than just coming back to campus,” Alumni Relations Officer Pedro Renta said. “It’s about where your journey started, reconnecting with friends and retelling stories with so much laughter. It’s a great weekend to celebrate being a Falcon!”

Featured events include: 

Home-Cooked Homecoming Meal, Monday, Sept. 25, 5:30-7 p.m., Pete’s Creek patio, University Center. Professor Jake’s Bean Soup is a Homecoming tradition. The Homecoming kickoff event is free and open to the public. It is hosted by UWRF Greek Life. 

Homecoming Volleyball Game, Wednesday, Sept. 27, 7 p.m., Page Arena at Falcon Center. UW-River Falls vs. UW-Stout. 

St. Croix River Boat Cruise, Thursday, Sept. 28, 3:30 p.m. boarding time, 4-6:30 p.m. boat cruise and meal, St. Croix River Boat and Packet Cruise, 525 S. Main St., Stillwater, Minn. Cost is $43 per person. Reservations must be made by Friday, Sept. 22, here

Alumni and Friends Coffee, Saturday, Sept. 30, 9:30 a.m. at Ostness Park, N. 2nd St. and E. Elm St., River Falls. This event at a new location this year offers the opportunity to meet fellow Falcons and network over a cup of coffee.

Homecoming Parade, Saturday, Sept. 30, 10 a.m. downtown River Falls. Join others in celebrating UWRF at the parade’s new location along 2nd Street to enjoy this longstanding Homecoming tradition!

Homecoming Football Game, Saturday, Sept. 30, 1 p.m., David Smith Stadium at Ramer Field. UW-River Falls vs. UW-Platteville. 

Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet, Saturday, Sept. 30, 6 p.m., Riverview Ballroom, University Center. Join others in honoring the newest Falcon inductees into the UWRF Athletics Hall of Fame. Registration is required at

Homecoming Concert, Sunday, Oct. 1, 2 p.m., Abbott Concert Hall, Kleinpell Fine Arts building. Featuring symphony band, choir and alumni choir members. Admission is $8/adult, $5/seniors and $2/students.
