Faculty art/research exhibition at UW-River Falls

 

August 23, 2018 - Art Department faculty at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will present their artwork and research in an exhibition Sept. 5-28 in Gallery 101 of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building.

Faculty artwork on view will include ceramics, drawing glass, painting, photography, and printmaking by Eoin Breadon, Heather Delisle, Mike Helke, Brett Kallusky, Jeannine Kitzhaber, Ann Lawton, Peter Mak, Dan Paulus, Alex Petersen, Mary Rohl and Nikki Schneider.

An opening reception and artist talk is Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 3:30-5 p.m. in Gallery 101.

In addition to the exhibition, UWRF art historian Kaylee Spencer will present a slide lecture on her research “Of Cosmos and Kings: The Rise of Portraiture in Classic Maya Art” in the Kinnickinnic Theater in the University Center on Sept. 12 from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m.

All events are free and open to the public. Gallery 101 hours are 2-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Fridays.
