The concert features the work of numerous UWRF Dance Theatre alumni, students, faculty, and professionals. The evening will consist of diverse dance forms including Modern, Hip Hop, Japanese, Peruvian, Swing, Jazz, and Contemporary dance.

Minneapolis Guest Choreographer Danielle Ricci created We Know Not What We Do, which wavers between beautiful and haunting. Her dance outlines the destruction humans have unleashed and presents a call for changes to preserve our planet. Torrion Amie, former UWRF dance faculty, has returned setting a dance called The Power of Someone Who Saves, which highlights the impact compassion can have on those experiencing hopelessness. Faculty Choreographer Mari Kline-Kluck crafted a piece titled reDress, which explores disparities women face, as well as pressures to fulfill certain ideals. Kline-Kluck has also restaged A Tensive Phobia (premiered 2006) that examines the impetus of fear and anxiety. Alumni choreography team/married couple Jesse and Emma Hoekstra shaped a joyful social dance experience for the stage with their Swing Dance/Lindy Hop piece called A Dance Break.  Alumni Choreographer Natsumi Kubo has been working with students to restage Kodo-Soran virtually from Japan. The piece fuses traditional Japanese dance with some exciting new elements that are different from its premiere with Dance Theatre in 2007.  Join us for these and other amazing dances!

UWRF Dance Theatre, a modern dance company, has brought an artistic dance program to students who love dance for 40 years. UWRF Dance Theatre strives to provide rich dance experiences and performance to River Falls and the surrounding communities.
