Celebrate music of the season

November 29, 2018 - Holiday sounds will be presented at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Dec. 6 and 7 in two separate concerts that are open to the public.

On Thursday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m., the UWRF Symphony Band and University Band will present seasonal music by Bernstein, Clifton Williams, Frank Ticheli and Franko Goldman in the Riverview Ballroom, University Center. The bands are directed by Kris Tjornehoj and Gary Bird. Tickets are available at the door: $5/adults, $3/seniors, $2/students.

On Friday, Dec. 7, at noon, the Frances Cohler Coffee Concert will offer holiday sounds in the Davis Theatre, Kleinpell Fine Arts. The free concert will feature the jazz musicians and their vocalists, Colleen Raye and Debbie O'Keefe. Refreshments will follow the concert.
