 Why become a McNair Scholar?

The McNair Scholars Program provides an enriching educational experience for students from underrepresented groups and first generation/low income students, to excel as undergraduates, succeed in graduate school and ultimately enter faculty positions in our nation's colleges and universities.

The program provides a challenging and supportive environment that is conducive to learning and personal/professional development.

Summer Research Opportunities

The McNair Summer Research Program offers undergraduates the chance to work closely with faculty in an intensive summer research experience

During the 12-week program students work under a faculty mentor, gain research skills, prepare for the GRE and attend seminars and workshops.
