MINDS@UW-River Falls

MINDS@UW-River Falls is an open access institutional repository designed to provide a "safe haven" for scholarly materials produced by the students, staff and faculty at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Established and managed by the Chalmer Davee Library, MINDS@UW-River Falls captures, stores, indexes and preserves the intellectual output of the university in one central location and distributes that research to a world wide audience. The repository is part of a larger institutional repository called MINDS@UW which includes repositories from several campuses in the UW System.  For more information, please visit the MINDS@UW-River Falls project page

History of UW-River Falls

The Chalmer Davee Library and the University Archives and Area Research Center at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, in partnership with the University of Wisconsin Digital Collections Center, announce the unveiling of its first online, publicly accessible digital collection, the History of UW-River Falls.  The History of UW-River Falls collection provides a glimpse into the people, events and organizations that make up UWRF's history. Through photographs, yearbooks and other historical documents, the rich history of UWRF comes to life. The first digital items in the collection consist of 300 plus photographs of people, buildings, athletics and events. The second digital project consists of digital versions of all 58 volumes of the Meletean, UWRF's yearbook from 1912-1969.

University of Wisconsin Digital Collections

Since its foundation in early 2000, the University of Wisconsin Digital Collections Center (UWDCC) has worked collaboratively with UW System faculty, staff, and librarians to create and provide access to digital resources that support the teaching and research needs of the UW community, uniquely document the university and state of Wisconsin, and provide access to rare or fragile items of broad research value. The UWDCC has also partnered with cultural heritage institutions and public libraries throughout Wisconsin to create digital resources.  Resources within the collections are free and publicly accessible online. They are loosely organized into collections that span a range of subjects including art, ecology, literature, history, music, natural resources, science, social sciences, the state of Wisconsin, and the University of Wisconsin. Digital resources include text-based materials such as books, journal series, and manuscript collections; photographic images; slides; maps; prints; posters; audio; and video.
