Working Paper Submission Guidelines

What is a working paper?

Working papers - sometimes called "discussion papers" - are manuscripts that have not been accepted for publication. The paper may be a draft that you would like to send to colleagues in your field in order to solicit comments or feedback, or it may be a paper that you have presented or plan to present at a conference or seminar, or one that you have submitted for publication to a journal but has not yet been accepted.

The CER working paper series is a place to showcase the ongoing scholarly research at the UWRF College of Business and Economics. Working papers in Economic and Finance will be listed of RePEc (Research Papers in Economics), and all working papers will be listed on the CER website and links to the manuscript will be posted.

Who can submit a working paper to the CER working paper series?

All faculty of the College of Business and Economics are welcome to submit working papers. Students may submit papers to the student research series.

How to submit a working paper?

To submit a working paper, please fill out the working paper submission form. Papers should be uploaded as either PDF or Microsoft Word files.

Is there any special formatting required?

Please do not include a title page with any submission. A standard title page will be generated from the metadata (your name, the abstract, the paper title, etc.) that you will be asked to provide through the submission form.  Thus, the first page of the PDF you submit should begin with the title of the first section of your paper as in:

Other formatting is at the discretion of the author, but it is suggested that the manuscript be double spaced, sections and pages be numbered using Arabic numerals, and margins be set to at least 1 in.
