Canvas Transition

Transition Timeline

Canvas transition timeline

The timeline to transition courses from D2L to Canvas was developed in collaboration with Faculty Senate, the University Technology Committee, and the Student Government Association.

In Fall 2018, a limited number of courses will be delivered in Canvas. These courses will be taught by Canvas Mentors, a group of instructors that will serve as early adopters and trainers for other instructors. All other courses will still be delivered in D2L in Fall 2018.

Beginning J-Term 2018-19, all active courses will be delivered in Canvas. All active courses for the Spring 2019, Summer 2019, Fall 2019 forward will be delivered in Canvas as well. In the Fall 2019 term, D2L will be archived and retired.
