The Center for Innovation and Business Development at UW-River Falls is dedicated to supporting economic growth and development in the greater St. Croix Valley through offering assistance and resources to businesses in the region. If you are a business questioning how to contact UWRF to get the support you need, you have come to the right place.


  • Do you have a business problem or issue that you need help resolving? We are here to connect you to our skilled faculty and students at the University who can offer assistance with resolving your issue.
  • Graduate students enrolled in our AACSB accredited MBA program are available to complete a business-related project on your behalf as part of their practicum elective.
  • Establish strong relationships with regional businesses to support business growth and development.


We are conveniently located in an off-campus office with the Small Business Development Center which offers services to entrepreneurs and small business owners. You can find us in the renovated east-office addition of the River Falls Municipal Power Plant at 401 South Winter Streetlink. Parking is free.

Congratulations to the UWRF student team SoPOD. The team placed first in the Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament! Team members Andrew Lind, An Trieu and Eric Wenz will receive a $25,000 grant for their business.
