Overall Offer, Acceptance Rates for Class of 2013 Remain Relatively Unchanged
Among Class of 2013 graduating seniors who have applied for a job, 45.9 percent have received at least one offer and, of those, 63.9 percent have accepted an offer, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers' Class of 2013 Student Survey. The offer rate dipped slightly from 2012 figures, while the acceptance rate crept slightly up. See the full text of NACE's article .
Majors in computer science, economics, accounting and business administration continued to post strong numbers in this regard.
Figure 1: Nearly 69 percent of computer science majors (68.7 percent) who applied for a job received at least one job offer, followed by 61.5 percent of economics majors and 61.2 percent of accounting majors.
Figure 2: Slightly more than 89 percent of accounting majors … and 78.2 percent of computer science majors who have received at least one offer have accepted an offer.
