Falcon Scholars Collage: Group of Students Standing on University Seal Sidewalk

The first class of 2012-13 Falcon Scholars pictured outside of South Hall with Chancellor Dean Van Galen, and Arlin and Marilyn Albrecht.  UWRF alumni Arlin and Marilyn Albrecht have established the Albrecht Challenge as a matching fund for gifts to Falcon Scholars as part of the Rising to Distinction campaign.

The Falcon Scholars scholarship program brings with it the ability to enrich learning for UWRF students, to raise the academic standards among undergraduates; and to support engagement and excellence among faculty and staff.

Falcon Scholars have access to the Student, Staff, and Faculty Interaction Space in 139 Hagestad Hall which is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm (except July 2015).  There is comfortable furniture, tables, a huge new tv, student computers, and an overall inviting atmosphere where you can relax, study, plan and enjoy the company of other Falcon Scholars.  There is also a small fridge, microwave, hot water kettle, and Keurig coffee maker available for student use.  The office does not provide K-cups, however we do have some tea, hot cocoa, sugar, sweetner, and powdered creamer on hand.  Stop by and check it out!
