Strategic Plan 2006 Timeline
August 2006
August 21—Faculty Senate votes on Values, Mission, and Vision.
August 23 and 24—John Dew Strategic Planning Workshops
August 25—Strategic Planning Steering Committee (SPSC) meets with the Faculty Senate Executive Committee and Gorden Hedahl to discuss the committee structure for writing action plans to achieve strategic planning goals.
August 28— All campus update on the strategic planning workshops. 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. River Room, Rodli Commons.
September 2006
September 18—Define and edit goals; define process and working groups assignments.
September 20—Strategic planning goals and committees assigned to establish action plans presented to Faculty Senate for affirmation.
September 21—All campus forum on strategic planning and the growth agenda. 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. River Room, Rodli Commons.
September 22—Strategic planning orientation for group leaders and backup chairs (2 members of each committee should attend this orientation). 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. Presidents Room, Student Center.
October 2006
October 18—Develop a “Statement of Initiative” and identify 1-3 tasks to be submitted to the SPSC.
October 18-25—Create Posters of Initiatives and Tasks for campus review. Posters will be on display Oct. 25-27: Falcon's Nest.
October 26—Reception and dialogue about DRAFT Initiatives and Tasks, 2:00 - 3:15 p.m., Falcon's Nest. UW-System President Kevin Reilly and Chancellor Don Betz on "Growth Agenda" from 3:30 -4:30: KFA Blanche Davis Theatre.
October 27—Working Lunch to Review Updates to Timeline and Revised Task Charter Template. RSVP to Connie Foster.
October 27-November 6—Revise Initatives and Tasks based on campus feedback; Work on Task Charters.
November 2006
November 7—Submit FINAL DRAFT of Statements of Initiatives and Tasks to Faculty Senate by 5 p.m.
November 8—Begin work on Task Charters to be submitted to G Drive by 5 p.m. on December 15, 2006.
November 15—Faculty Senate reviews Initatives and Tasks. If approved, forwards to Chancellor.
November 16—Prioritization Group begins work to prioritize Initiatives and Tasks.
November 29—Faculty Senate discusses Draft Strategic Planning Priority Timeline.
December 2006
December 15—Working groups submit Task Charters to Gdrive by 5pm. Party to celebrate milestone - completion of Task Charters, 5-7 p.m. (Location TBA).
December 20 —Faculty Senate reviews proposed Strategic Planning Priority Timeline
