Emergency Weather Warnings


The River Falls Police Department monitors weather conditions, initiating the outdoor warning sirens to alert the community of severe conditions that may compromise safety.  Regular testing is required to ensure the system is functioning properly.  In conjunction with the National Weather Service the city will be doing audible testing of the sirens on Thursday, April 24, 2014.  If severe weather requires use of the warning sirens on the scheduled test date, then the test will be postponed until Friday, April 25, 2014.  The audible test schedule is given below.

  • Monday, March 24th at 1 p.m. (Make-up date-Tuesday, March 25th at 1 p.m.)
  • Thursday, April 24th at 1:45p.m. (Make-up date-Friday, April 25th at 1 p.m.)
  • Monday, May 19th at 1 p.m. (Make-up date-Tuesday, May 20th at 1 p.m.)
  • Monday, June 23rd at 1 p.m. (Make-up date Tuesday, June 24th at 1 p.m.)
  • Monday, July 28th at 1 p.m. (Make-up date Tuesday, July 29th at 1 p.m.)
  • Monday, August 25th at 1 p.m. (Make-up date Tuesday, August 26th at 1 p.m.)
  • Monday, September 22nd at 1 p.m. (Make-up date Tuesday, September 23rd at 1 p.m.)
