Health and Wellness Management

Earn a bachelor of science degree and acquire the skills necessary to design, develop, implement and maintain health and wellness programs in the workplace. Drawing on the expertise of faculty from four University of Wisconsin campuses, the classes are offered completely online.

Who Should Apply

  • Individuals with an associate degree who want to complete their bachelor's degree 

  • Human resources administrators, insurance professionals, nurses, fitness coaches, health educators or health promoters who are responsible for workplace wellness programs

Features

  • All courses are provided online; there are no campus visits or face-to-face meeting requirements. 

  • You can start your program at anytime and courses are offered year round. 

  • Courses are taught by experienced faculty from among four University of Wisconsin institutions.

  • You will learn about the seven dimensions of wellness (social, physical, emotional, career, intellectual, environmental, and spiritual) and how they affect our lives.

Program Curriculum

Apply up to 60 transferable credits or your associate degree from an accredited institution to your degree plan and then take the following required courses for a total of 123 credits to earn your bachelor's degree.

Degree Requirements, 63 Total Credits

The Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Management consists of 21 courses. Each student in the program is required to successfully complete all 21 courses and the general education and university requirements listed below to graduate. There are no electives in the program. Each course is worth three credits.

Tuition Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition for this program is the same regardless of where you live. For tuition rate for the current year, visit Student Billing. Textbooks are purchased separately and are not included in tuition. Students who take at least 6 credits each term may be eligible for financial assistance (see Cost & Financial Aid).

Admissions Requirements

Successful applicants will have the following:

  • Associate degree or at least 60 college-level credits from an accredited institution GPA of 2.0 or better from previous coursework

  • Prerequisite courses in introductory psychology, introductory biology, introductory communications/speech and English composition

  • Completed application and paid application fee Transcripts sent directly from previous institutions to the UWRF Admissions Office
