The George R. Field South Fork Suites (SFS) is a suite style residence hall at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and houses 240 residents.
To be eligible to reside in SFS, students must currently meet one of the following eligibility requirements.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Earned 60+ credits and have Junior standing by move-in date
- -OR- 21 years of age or older by move-in date
- -OR- Completed 4 part time or full time fall/spring semesters at a college post high school by move-in date
As indicated by the name, SFS is a "suite style" residence hall. There are 60 four-person furnished suites. Each suite has four private single bedrooms, a living room, a dining area/kitchenette, and a bathroom. The entire building is air conditioned. Each of the eight wings has a large kitchen/lounge area for cooking meals and a laundry area. Other public areas include the lobby, floor lounges, conference rooms, and a recreation/fitness room. There is elevator access to all four floor levels. South Fork Suites has four Resident Assistants and one Hall Manager.
SFS is located in the east area of campus, anchoring our East Area residence halls. There are basketball and sand volleyball courts nearby and the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic River runs behind the building. 
SFS, built in 2004-2005, was named after George R. Field, who was the last President and first Chancellor, serving UWRF from 1968-1985.

The Board of Directors operates like a traditional Hall Council, with the exception that hall-wide meetings are held monthly in the South Fork Conference room. If you have an issue that you feel the hall should know about, or are just curious about what we do, please stop in and join us.
