50th Anniversary of the Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo Alumni Events
Saturday, Sept. 13
River Falls, WI
Join alumni on Saturday, Sept. 13 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the UWRF Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo! Activities will begin with a bean bag tournament (limited to 20 teams of two). A social hour will be held followed by a picnic-style dinner and formal program. The Rodeo will then begin at 7 p.m. followed by a performance by the Tim Sigler Band at 9:30 p.m. Alumni activities are free; however, a ticket is required for both the Rodeo and the concert. Alumni Gathering at the Betley Farm
Saturday, Sept. 20
Pulaski, WI

Jeff and Jena Betley, proud alumni of UWRF, are hosting a social gathering for UWRF alumni at their family farm in Pulaski outside of Green Bay. The social hour begins at 3 p.m. with a tour of the farm at 4 p.m. Dinner and a campfire will be held in the evening following the farm tour. This is a great opportunity to meet with other alumni in Eastern Wisconsin.

Congratulations to the following Ag Education alumni receiving awards from the National Association of Agricultural Educators:

  • Jeanna James (BS Ag Ed 2008) - Outstanding Young Member
  • Linda Petersen (BS Ag Ed 1984) - Outstanding Middle/Secondary Ag Ed program (Region III)
  • Crystal Retzlaff (BS Ag Ed 2002, MS Ag Ed 2009) - Teacher Mentor
  • Rachel Sauvola (BS Ag Ed 1999) - Agriscience Teacher
  • Amie Stillman (BS Ag Ed 2010) - Teacher Turn the Key

Aliesha Crowe, 1998 UWRF graduate with a bachelor of science in animal science and a master of science in agricultural education, was named the Executive Director of the CVTC Foundation and the CVTC Alumni Association.

UWRF agricultural education graduate and CAFES Alumni board member, Wendy Kannel, was named the Wisconsin Farm Bureau's Agriculture in the Classroom Coordinator and Director of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation.
