Bobbi transferred to UW-River Falls after a change in career interest and a decision to major in accounting. 

“I knew UW-River Falls had a well-established AACSB accredited business college, and after touring campus, I just knew it was the school for me,” Bobbi said.

While attending UW-River Falls, Bobbi managed a busy schedule. She earned her accounting degree, in addition to serving as president of Student Senate and treasurer of her sorority. Bobbi credits the Accounting Department’s emphasis on internships with the success of launching her career at Lewis, Kisch & Associates, Ltd.

“The accounting faculty and staff at River Falls encouraged us to attend the Accounting and Auditing Fair held each fall in Minneapolis. As a senior, I met several accounting firms at the event in search of interns for tax season, which is where I connected with Lewis, Kisch & Associates. Not long after the event, they reached out to me and offered me an internship, which turned into a full-time staff accountant position,” Bobbi said.

In her current position, Bobbi specializes in auditing, but also works on tax filings. 

“What I love most about my job is problem solving," she said. "Putting together financials or a spreadsheet is like piecing together a puzzle. Every piece fits. You just have to find where. It requires more creativity than you think.
