The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Teacher Education Program is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction,and is a National Education Association (NEA) Exemplary Teacher Education Program.

Teacher Education Department Mission Statement

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Teacher Education Programs are designed to develop self-reflective practitioners in the areas of early childhood, elementary, middle school, and secondary education. We serve both those seeking initial certification and practicing professionals, with a view towards helping them develop the pedagogical, content, and technological skills necessary to function effectively in and contribute positively to an ever-changing, diverse, and democratic society. Our intention is to work with our neighbors to promote richly satisfying, just, and sustainable relationships with the St. Croix Valley and the planet.
