Annual Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo is Sept. 8-9


September 1, 2023 – The 58th annual Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo is slated for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 8-9, at the outdoor rodeo arena at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Campus Farm located at 1475 S. Wasson Lane in River Falls. The public is invited to attend.

Friday’s performance begins at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s performances are set for 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. 

Rodeo attendees will have the opportunity to view numerous events, ranging from saddle bronc riding to calf roping and barrel racing. The UWRF Rodeo Club will compete in the event, along with other collegiate teams that are members of the Great Plains region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). The event typically attracts about 300 participants. 

Tickets are available at the gate (cash only) or online at https://www.uwrfrodeo.com/buy-tickets. Ticket prices are $20/adults, $15/UWRF students and $10/children ages 5-12. Children age 4 and under are free. Military veterans receive a $5 discount. 

Food is available for purchase at the concession stand and onsite parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo has been occurring annually since 1964, except for its cancellation in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year’s rodeo is the first event of the fall season for the Great Plains region.
