UWRF Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Program

The UWRF McNair Scholars Program provides an enriching educational experience for first-generation college students with financial need, or members of a group that are traditionally underrepresented in graduate education and have demonstrated strong academic potential.

McNair Scholars participate in courses, seminars and workshops on topics related to graduate school preparation, complete a paid research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor, and have the opportunity to present their research at local, regional and national conferences.     Trio

The UWRF McNair Program funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Education TRIO Grant at $231,448 annually.
