AutoCAD/GIS
The Facilities Management Student AutoCAD / GIS position is an undergraduate student employee who provides assistance to Facilities Management and Campus Planning Staff. The work includes, but is not limited to preparing and updating facility and construction drawings in AutoCAD software, preparing and updating Geographic Information Systems (GIS) campus maps utilizing ERSI ArcGIS software, and assisting with filing of record documents.
Auto Shop
The Facilities Management Student Auto Shop Assistant is an undergraduate student employee who provides assistance to the Auto Tech. Master at Facilities Management. The work includes, but is not limited to, washing & cleaning university vehicles, checking fluids & filling with gas, cleaning the auto shop & assisting the mechanic as needed. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain state vehicle driving approval are required.
Building Maintenance
(Summer Position)
The Student Building Maintenance Assistant is an undergraduate student employee working in the academic and residential buildings on campus to assist permanent staff in construction and maintenance duties.
Building Maintenance Painter
(Summer Position)
The Student Building Maintenance Painter is an undergraduate student employee working in academic and residence hall buildings on campus to assist permanent staff in painting and maintenance duties. Duties include: preparation and finish of existing, new, or repaired surfaces; preparation and application of finishes on interior and exterior surfaces; and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Custodian
The Facilities Management Student Custodian position is an undergraduate student working in the academic buildings on campus to assist permanent staff in providing basic custodial duties. This position requires early morning and mid morning hours starting as early as 6:00 a.m.
Grounds Maintenance
The Facilities Management Student Grounds Assistant position is an undergraduate student employee working to assist permanent staff in providing grounds care across campus. The work includes but is not limited to, planting, weeding, watering, mowing, cleaning equipment, snow removal, litter pick up and miscellaneous assigned duties. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain state vehicle driving approval are required.
Office
The Facilities Management Student Office Assistant position is an undergraduate student employee who provides office support to the professional staff at Facilities Management. The work includes but is not limited to, answering phone, data entry, typing, photo copying and special projects as assigned. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Stores/Postal
The Facilities Management Student Stores/Inventory Control/Postal Assistant position is an undergraduate student employee assisting in the storeroom, receiving, and Postal Services areas as needed. Necessary skills include the ability to problem solve and provide excellent customer service. Valid driver's license is preferred. Forklift certification is offered.
