UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
The College of Education and Professional Studies, or CEPS, is home to about 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students preparing for professional careers in clinical exercise physiology, communication sciences and disorders, counseling, exercise and sport science, school psychology, social work and teaching. Teacher Education, a large component of CEPS, has been a major commitment of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls since its founding in 1874. The university's teacher education programs have received national recognition for excellence and are fully approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
The focused mission of CEPS is to prepare creative, reflective and ethical practitioners who value diversity, promote social justice and utilize empirical evidence to inform their practice.
