UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
In Spring 2016, USS Motion 2015-16/2 provided a procedure for discretionary equity adjustments. For the purposes of that procedure, market wage was defined as the average for the employee's pay range across the UW System (excluding the doctoral campuses of Milwaukee and Madison, the 2 year campuses of UW Colleges, and UW extension). The difference between an employee's current wage and this market wage was one of the weighted factors which determined who received adjustments. Those above the market wage were not eligible for adjustments.
For fund distribution effective 6/27/2016, 41 out of 194 employees received increases ranging from the maximum allowed of $.36/hour to the least amount of $.02/hour. Twenty employees were not eligible.
For fund distribution effective 6/25/2017, 40 out of 186 employees received increases ranging from the maximum allowed of $.36/hour to the least amount awarded of $.03/hour. Seventy employees were not eligible for various reasons (i.e., received an adjustment last year, serving a probationary period, no current performance evaluation on file, received a market adjustment, represented by a collective bargaining unit, or currently above the average wage.).
The averages below are as of mid-June 2017 and were used to determine the June 25, 2017, adjustments. The averages may change for future use resulting from new UW hires or departures.
