Paul Bladl

I was a student at UW-River Falls from 2001-2005 where I majored in Management Information Systems and Business Administration.

After graduation I worked for a small IT company in La Crosse, WI where I did workstation and server/network support for school districts, law offices, municipalities, car dealers, banks, a guitar shop, and others.  While there, I learned that I enjoyed working most with the public sector clients.

In August 2006 I was given an opportunity to come back to UW-River Falls to work for FredNet/Student Affairs IT, where I provided Network, Server, and Workstation support for Student Affairs staff and students in the Residence Halls.  When FredNet and ITS merged into one, I chose to take a spot in Workstation support.  I chose this as I learned that the most enjoyable aspect of my job was working with student employees and members of the university.  In my current role I supervise 8-12 great student employees that provide support for Faculty and Staff as well as lab and classroom support.

My hobbies include reading (Sci-Fi and Fantasy, just to stick to my geek roots,) being outside (including gardening, landscaping, hiking, and running,) and woodworking/building things (accomplishments include a custom built entertainment center, two remodeled bathrooms, and currently in progress a kitchen.)

I also enjoy spending time with my partner Sean and doing what uncles do best, spoiling my nieces and nephews.

I joined CSAC so that I could help bring a voice to Classified Staff and as a way to give back to the many great classified staff that have helped me get to where I am today.
