Departmental Process

Sending an Item to Surplus:

Any campus department that would like to surplus an item must fill out a Work Request through iServiceDesk with a thorough description of the item. Please leave the item in the location listed on the Work Request until it can be picked up.  Items designated as surplus will be picked up at no cost to the department.

Requesting an Item from Surplus

In order to save costs for UWRF departments, some surplus items are kept for new campus use. Reuse between departments is strongly encouraged.  There is a regular, but alternating inventory of desks, tables, filing cabinets, chairs, bookcases, and office supplies.

If you have a need on campus for an item, please email with a description of the item.  If a suitable item is available, it will be delivered free of charge.
