Overview

The Student Support Services (SSS) Program at UW-River Falls offers a number of educational outreach and enrichment opportunities to maximize your academic success at the college level. Program participants receive access to one-on-one academic coaching, leadership and community service opportunities, career/graduate school advising, opportunities to participate in social/cultural activities, financial literacy, and assistance with accessing campus services.

The program is funded annually by the United States Department of Education and is free to qualified applicants.

  • Academic and study skill support

  • Financial literacy (budgets, credit cards, student loan guidance, FAFSA assistance)
  • Professional development (resume, interview skills, internships, networking and graduate school exploration)
  • Referrals and connections to other campus resources

  • SSS improves the retention and graduation rates of the students it serves. In 2015-16, 91% of participants were in good academic standing and 83% graduated or returned to UWRF for Fall 2016
