Student Senate

Safe Ride Home Program

This collaborative program between UWRF Student Senate and the City of River Falls Taxi Service provides taxi free rides in River Falls for UWRF students on Thursday through Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., when classes are in session.  The Taxi is also available for others at these times, for the regular taxi fare.

The 2016 Safe Ride Home Program began in December 2015 as a partnership project between the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) and the City’s shared ride taxi service. The program’s emphasis was getting students home safely during the winter months. However, based on the ridership results, the usage was higher than expected by both students and the general public.
