Welcome to the Student Conduct and Community Standards (SCCS) Office

Our Guiding Philosophy:

We believe that individual students and the campus community share a collective responsibility to ensure that our campus is safe and secure for all individuals. When students’ behaviors are illegal, jeopardize the rights of others, or violate the Code of Conduct, they will be held accountable through the student disciplinary/conduct process.

Student Conduct and Community Standards

SCCS is the main point of contact for all issues of misconduct and threatening behavior on campus. This includes:
  • Academic Misconduct/Integrity Concerns
  • Nonacademic Misconduct (on and off campus)
  • Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT)
  • Records Requests (for disciplinary/background checks)
  • Support of the Title IX Coordinator (through sexual misconduct investigations and prevention efforts)
  • Sends communications to students when we receive reports
  • Offers opportunities to meet with our staff to discuss the alleged misconduct
  • Ensures due process throughout the entire process
  • Upholds the rights of individuals and the entire campus community
  • Balances the facilitation of of individual growth/development with the safety of the campus community
  • Holds students accountable to their decision making and behaviors through the use of sanctions
  • Reaches out to the student being referred
  • Offers on- and off-campus resources for support
  • Offers opportunities to meet with our staff for consistent and continual support
