Students identified positive aspects of this placement:

The most positive aspect of this placement is being able to build relationships with these kids. Being able to listen to their problems, understanding where they're coming from and being able to give advice in order to help them. (1998)

Students identified difficulties in this placement:

The kids in this program are high-risk kids. Some of them lose their temper and this is difficult to deal with. Also, kids in this program range from 13-17 years old and don't like to listen. This becomes difficult because you're trying to help them and say something only so many times. (1998)
