We know that staying connected is important. Students living in the residence halls should connect their laptops, tablets, and phones to the eduroam network by using your full email address and password. Navigate through the resources below to learn how you can stay connected in the residence halls.

Use your device's wireless feature to search for available wireless networks. If you are not prompted to open a web browser to connect, open a browser and attempt to browse to be redirected to a registration portal. If you are still having issues connecting, review the resource guide or contact DoTS

Many students choose to bring a computer, mouse, television, USB cables, and headphones. Students can also find free computer lab access throughout campus. 

It is not possible to activate the Ethernote port in residence hall rooms. Students should connect to the wireless network while living on campus. 

You can have a personal printer in your room but must disable the wireless service and connect a USB printer cable for printing. The Department of Technology Services have USB printer cables available.

Students can also print to a campus printing station by accessing the Web Print portal. 

No, personal wireless routers are not allowed and create connectivity issues for other residents. Residents should connect to the wireless network.

If you have a wireless router access point in your room, please do not unplug or hang things near the access point. If your access point is disconnected, DoTS will contact you to coordinate a visit to investigate the issue. 

Students should review common solutions regarding their University ID or contact DoTS to determine the source of your card issue.
