VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. Your device needs to be logged into the UWRF VPN in order to access your entire array of resources (the T: drive for example).

Technology Services recommends connecting to VPN once a week for 4 hours to continue to operate in an effective manner while working remote.

UWRF has two supported remote chat/meeting suites available for use. A campus-wide Microsoft chat/collaboration platform (Microsoft Teams) and Webex Teams/Meetings. Both tool platforms (Microsoft Teams and Webex Teams) have similar capabilities. Microsoft Teams is our enterprise chat/collaboration platform available and installed for all users, with Webex Teams/Meetings available on demand. For larger facilitated meetings, Webex is the preferred solution. Please see the following for more detail on how to use/acquire the tools.
