Production Operations

Production Operations houses The Cage (equipment checkout) and the Sound Stage. We support students currently enrolled in specific Stage and Screen Arts (SASA) and ART Photography courses within the College of Arts and Sciences.

The Cage (equipment checkout)

The cage is temporarily located in the basement of KFA, in B9.

Production Operations Equipment Check-Out Policy

Please e-mail:

cage@uwrf.edu

to reserve equipment ahead of time.

Allow at least an hour before you need to pick up for workers to pull and sanitize your equipment.

Top priority goes to students who are currently enrolled in SASA or Photography courses requiring the use of equipment and who have a signed contract on file.

Other students who have completed classes with instruction on the use of specific equipment have 2nd priority.

Anyone checking out equipment is fully responsible for that equipment. Fees and/or holds may result if equipment is late, damaged, or lost.

Only students currently enrolled in the following classes will be allowed to check out video, photography, audio and lighting equipment:

  • ART 235 Intro to Photography
  • ART 335 Studio Photography
  • ART 485/486 Senior Seminar/Exhibition

  • SASA 260 Electronic Field Production
  • SASA/FILM 303 Documentary Production
  • SASA 360 Advanced Electronic Field Production
