Parking Announcement

**Note: Effective April 27, 2015; Visa cards will no longer be accepted. Discover Card and Master Card payments will incur a convenience fee of 2.5%. Echeck payments will incur a convenience fee of $1.75. The convenience fee will be charged to your credit card or echeck payment.

Cash or check payments do not incur a convenience fee. Make checks payable to UWRF Parking.

Student Parking Information

  • Parking lots are identified with a sign at each entrance including the lot name and permit type required.
  • Parking enforcement times/locations can be found at Parking Enforcement.
  • Displaying a permit authorizes parking only in the specific location listed on the permit. Student permits for O, E, N, and K lots are also valid in PAY3.
  • Ownership of the parking permit remains with UWRF Parking. Transferring, lending, forging or selling a permit to another person is prohibited and may result in the any/all of the following: parking citations and/or UWS 18.08 citations (up to but not limited to $283.50), revocation of parking privileges, void any parking permit refund value.
  • The registered permit holder is responsible for any parking violations issued to the vehicle bearing the permit.
  • Student permits are valid from August 1st thru the following year August 31st. (see expiration date stated on the permit.)
  • 2017-2018: O, E, K, N, PAY3-24 permit price is $327. PAY3-CM permit price is $136.50. Payment must be received (completing the purchase) before a permit is secured.
  • A Student parking permit returned prior to September 1st is subject to a $25.00 administrative fee. Student parking permits are non-refundable after February 10th. Please see Parking Refund Policy for details.
  • Any student or visitor can utilize Public Parking.
  • If your desired location is sold out or there are no more permits available for sale, you can place yourself on a waitlist which will only satisfied if a permit becomes available.

What are My Options?

I live in a residential hall.

A university residential student can choose to purchase a university permit or park on the city streets. 


Parking permits available for residential students are:

  • Locations requiring a housing contract: E, K, N, O. Location with or without a signed housing contract: PAY3(24).
  • If you do not have a signed housing contract by July 15th E, K, N, and O permits will be exchanged to a PAY3(24) permit.
  • Payment must be received (completing the purchase) before a permit is secured.
  • OVT - Temporary parking permits are available for a daily rate, including overnight. (You must print and display this permit) These can also be purchased for your visitors. Valid in PAY3 or R Meters only.
  • Permits for E, K, N, O lots must be returned to University Parking if you move off campus before the academic year is completed.

I live off campus

Non-Residential Students (any student that lives off campus) can choose to purchase a permit, utilize a university meter or city street parking.

Permit:

  • Non-Residential Students Parking Lot: PAY3 (by the Falcon Center)
    • PAY3(CM) is valid from 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. with no parking overnight.
    • PAY3(24) is valid 24 hours a day including overnight.
  • OVT - Temporary parking permits are available for a daily rate, including overnight. (You must print and display this permit) These permits can also be purchased for your visitors. Valid in PAY3 or R meters only.
  • Payment must be received (completing the purchase) before a permit is secured.

Public Parking:

City Streets:

Parking is available on the city streets. City streets are the jurisdiction of the city of River Falls. City rules and regulations can be obtained from their website:  http://www.rfcity.org/police_home.asp

The method to purchase a permit varies by your payment type and method (online v.s. in the office - 103 RDI)

When Can I Purchase A Permit?

2017-2018 Student Parking Permits

Permits will be sold on a first come first serve basis, based on seniority. Please see chart. Payment must be received (completing the purchase) before a permit is secured.

How do I get my permit?

Student Permit Space will be enforcement as posted. Please contact the Parking Office with questions @ 715-425-3333.
RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS

Permits purchased prior to 11:59pm, August 1st:
Your parking permit will be mailed to your mailing/home address listed in eSIS. 

Permits purchased prior to 12am, August 11th  thru 7am, September 5:
Your permit will be available for pickup September 5th in 103 Regional Development Institute during office hours: 7:45am-4:30pm. You will need your photo ID or Falcon ID to claim your permit. Display your parking permit by 7pm September 5th.

Permits purchased after 7am, September 5:
Your permit will be available for pickup on September 5th, 6th, 7th (Tue-Thur) in the parking office at 103 Regional Development Institute (RDI). Office Hours: 7:45am-4:30pm. You will need your photo ID or Falcon ID to claim your permit.

 

NON-RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS

 

Permits purchased prior to 11:59, August 29th:
Your parking permit will be mailed to your mailing/home address listed in eSIS. 

Permits purchased prior to 12am, August 29th:
