Gymnasium - Basketball

The first men's basketball team to play in the new North Hall gymnasium was the 1914-15 team, shown below in their uniforms with quilted shorts.

The college became accustomed to basketball championships in early years, winning 7 state conference championships between 1915 and 1930. 

Between 1946 and 1950, the basketball team won 4 state championships, was invited to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics tournament 3 times, and had on the team the nation's leading scorer, Nate DeLong.
