Getting Started

We know that entering college or transferring mid-year can be difficult. There is a lot to learn about your campus in a short amount of time. During the Winter of Welcome, you'll explore campus resources and learn about life as a Falcon, all while meeting some great new people! From checking out textbooks to exploring campus, our orientation staff will help you learn about your new home away from home.

This program is tailored for all students, both transfer and first-year. All new students are expected to attend. For information on this year's Winter of Welcome program, check back to this page soon.

Winter of Welcome 2021

The Winter of Welcome takes place the first week of classes in the spring semester. Check back here soon and be sure to follow us on social media for the most up-to-date event details. We will see you there!

We will be giving away UWRF mugs at our events while supplies last! There will also be a raffle at the end of the week where you could win a Microsoft Surface 2 Headphone! We will be giving out THREE so don't forget to attend! Every time you attend an event, your name will be put into the raffle. For Friday and Saturday's event please email nsfp@uwrf.edu with a picture of yourself participating the event and W# so can count your participation!

Falcon Swag Giveaway	Instagram	Show us your Falcon gear and you could be a winner of some Falcon Swag! Students must post their photo onto Instagram between Jan 24 - Feb 4, tag @uwrfnsfp, and use the the hashtag #falconfriday to be entered.
Movie Night - Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse	6:30pm at the Falcon's Nest	Start your evening back on campus with a FREE movie at the Falcon's Nest. Due to COVID guidelines, there will be limited seating so please arrive early for your spot!

Virtual Bingo	12pm via Zoom	Looking for some afternoon fun? Why not some bingo online with friends! Join us via Zoom on this day! Register here

Almost Midnight Mayhem	6pm - 11:30pm on campus	Join us for a night of virtual fun! We will be having Food & Take and Go Arts & Crafts (RSVP Required), Virtual Caricature Art, Virtual Game Night, and Virtual Bingo! A great way to meet other students virtually and have some fun! Saturday, Jan. 30
Surprise Mega Medallion Hunt	10am via Instagram and on campus	Tune into @uwrfgetinvolved LIVE on Instagram at 10am for rules and start hunting! There will be tons and prizes, gift cards, and swag! You do not want to miss out!

Virtual Spring Involvement Fair	8am - 5pm	Find the links at myOrgs! Three days full of different organization we have here on our campus! This is an event you do not want to miss out on!
