The Week of Welcome (WOW) begins with Move-In Day and lasts through the first week of classes. During WOW, you will:

  • Get connected with other new students
  • Find the location of your classes
  • Pick up your textbooks and student ID
  • Learn about campus resources
  • Attend fun, free events
Move-In Day: August 31, 2019

Move-In Day

Move-In Day is one of the most exciting days of your college experience! It is the day you'll begin to make UWRF your new home away from home.  Check out the Residence Life web page for complete details.

What to do on Move-In Day 

  • Check in to your residence hall
  • Attend Commuter Student Orientation
  • Enjoy dinner at the Great Falcon Get Together with your family
  • Meet your Resident Assistant and OTL (Orientation and Transition Leader)
  • Make new friends at our free evening entertainment event!

Nesting Days

Nesting begins a few days before classes start and provides students with the opportunity to:

  • Meet classmates
  • Explore campus resources
  • Connect with a current UWRF student leader (OTL)
  • Learn about life as a Falcon
  • Attend tons of FUN events

We are committed to providing you with the resources to make your college experience both rewarding and enriching. However, your experience and success will ultimately depend on you, and the extent to which you actively engage in the UWRF community and all of the opportunities it offers.

 

Nesting: Day One

BREAKFAST WITH YOUR OTL
Meet at your hall or the UC at your group’s specified time
Enjoy your first official meal in Riverside Commons! No meal plan required.

TEXTBOOK PICK-UP
Time: check with your OTL | Hagestad Hall
Your OTL will show you how to check out your textbooks. Be sure to bring your backpack!

JUSTIN JONES FOSU | EVERYDAY DIVERSITY

We’ve got a lot in store for you with Justin’s energy, humor, and moves. You won’t want to miss this!

TRANSFER STUDENT DINNER*

Enjoy some great food and conversation while getting to connect with other transfer students. 
* Transfer students will need to use their meal plan or purchase their meal at Riverside Commons

RESIDENCE LIFE EVENT
7pm-8pm | Your Residence Hall Community
Talk to your Resident Assistant about where to meet to learn about life in your hall community.

RHA NEON LIGHTS DANCE
