UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN River Falls
The UW-River Falls now offers a bachelor of applied science degree with a concentration in computer science. The new degree provides individuals with associate degrees in this area with a way to continue their education and obtain a bachelor’s degree.
Research has shown that individuals with a bachelor’s degree have increased earning potential and better career opportunities. This degree is the newest of several degree completion programs offered by UWRF to meet the higher education needs of working adults throughout western Wisconsin and the Twin Cities. Market analysis predicts strong job growth in this occupational area.
Individuals with an associate's degree in computer science or a related field
Individuals who have made significant progress toward completing a degree from an accredited higher-education institution and have work experience in computer science or a related field

The curriculum includes 30 credits from university general education courses and 30 credits from core courses and electives in computer science. Applicants who bring in fewer than 60 credits from a previous degree plan will need to take additional courses.
Credit will be awarded for college-level course work completed at accredited institutions. While general education credits are generally accepted from two-year colleges, this new program makes it possible for students to receive university credit for technical and work specific courses as well. All students will pay the same tuition amount regardless of where they live. Tuition rate for the academic year 2018-2019 is $300/credit plus campus fees.
