All UW-River Falls faculty and staff may use this service to request an item that is currently available in the Davee Library to be delivered to your office. Such items will have the status "Available at ..."
Deliveries go out twice a day between the hours of 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, during the fall and spring semesters, and once a day at 9:30 a.m. during break days, summer and J-term.
You will receive two notices:
Loan Receipt Letter - stating the item has been checked out to you and includes the due date.
Personal Delivery Notification notifying you that the item will be delivered soon.
The library will make two attempts to deliver your items to you. After two attempts, the items will be placed on the hold shelf for seven days. You will receive an e-mail stating they have been moved with the expectation that you will be picking the items up at the Circulation Desk. If you have not picked up your items in the seven days, the hold will be removed and the items will be shelved.
We will only deliver to you or your mailbox unless otherwise noted on the request.
We will make every attempt to protect patron privacy by placing items in an envelope.
If an item you would like to request has a status of "Checked Out," "In Transit," or "Overdue," it cannot be checked out, however, you can place a hold on the item instead. When the item becomes available, you will be notified via e-mail and the item will be held for you for seven days at the Circulation Desk.
Reference materials, journals, magazines, newspapers, maps, reserve materials and select government documents are not available for this service.
Items received through interlibrary loan will still be held at the Circulation Desk for pick up.
