Aspire Award

The Aspire Award is dedicated to support students of color, from limited-income, and/or first-generation students who completed the program their first year here at UWRF. The purpose of this award is to assist Aspire students with undergraduate research, studying aboard, or towards an unpaid internship. Eligible students are able to receive up to $500.

In order to be eligible for the Aspire Grant, you must have been part of the Aspire Program your first year at UWRF.

Undergraduate Research

  • Students who are conducting research may use their grant towards S&E or a stipend.

Studying Aboard

  • Students who are studying aboard may use their grant towards travel arrangements or S&E on their trip.

Internship

  • Students who are doing an internship may apply their grant towards a stipend.

Undergraduate Research

  • Students who are conducting research with their grant will need to attach their proposal.

Studying Abroad

  • Students who are planning to studying aboard will need to attach their class schedule of their studying aboard course or a confirmation letter that they will be studying abroad. 
  • Class schedules that are submitted must have student's name, semester, and year visible. 

Internship

  • Students will need to submit their class schedule if they are doing an internship as credit or a letter of acceptance/confirmation of their internship.
  • Class schedules that are submitted must have student's name, semester, and year visible. 

Applicants will be accepted on a rolling bases throughout the academic year. We reccomend that students submit their application as soon as possible when they are ready to pursue usage of the award. Otherwise, students should submit their request no later than two month before their activity.
