Heritage Months

MSS honors and ceHeritage monthslebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, Native American Heritage Month, Black/African American History Month and Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month.  Each heritage month will highlight a keynote event, along with a book display in the library on authors and literature by members of the community being honored.

Each semester, MSS invites 3 multicultural alumni to share their story on how they navigated college and prepared for their professional journey.  It is an opportunity for networking, learning, and reflecting on the possibilities post-UW-River Falls.

This is an engaging opportunity for multicultural students to be part of a panel and share their experiences on a specific topic/theme with the campus community.  Each semester, MSS will hold three events.  Past "From Student-to-Student" event topics included Studying Abroad, Internships and Research, and Graduate Reflections.
