This program is designed specifically for students who identify as having a disability. The Ability Services Jumpstart Program helps first-year students get connected to the disability community at UWRF. This occurs by connecting first-year students with peer mentors, current students, Ability Services Staff, and our Ability Services Champions. Participants will learn about how to use academic accommodations at the college level, navigate the transition process, and access college resources. Participants are also given the opportunity to engage with their fellow peers to learn more about disability identity, pride, and disability culture on the River Falls campus. Students participating in this program are required to be registered for academic accommodations through the Ability Services office. To learn more about the basic eligibility requirements and starting this process, check out theAbility Services website.
