The International Studies major has four components: a foreign language, required courses, directed electives, and a study-abroad course.
Students complete two years of a foreign language of their choice (e.g. complete any two-year language at UWRF, testouts equivalent to two years, or complete two years at another accredited university and transfer the credits to the UWRF).
Students complete eight required courses.
Select 15 credits of directed electives in consultation with your advisor.
Students complete a study abroad experience, 3 or more credits.
