The University of Wisconsin-River Falls, a member of the University of Wisconsin System, is located in scenic West
central Wisconsin, 30 miles from the multi-cultural, multi-ethnic cities of Minneapolis and St Paul. Year-round arts,
cultural and recreational events are easily accessible from River Falls. UWRF's 6,500 undergraduate and graduate
students pursue degrees in four colleges: Arts and Sciences; Education and Professional Studies; Agriculture, Food, and

The successful candidate will be an individual with a desire to develop and support innovative and collaborative
programs, and generate revenue. He/she will manage all aspects of outreach activities, including but not limited to
needs assessment, program planning and delivery, budget oversight, and evaluation and assessment of both existing
and new programs. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the capacity to
work with internal and external partners where appropriate, and the ability to establish unit goals within total
organization goals.

This position is a 75% time, 12-month professional academic support position and is part of a self-supporting academic
unit. Salary is based on qualifications, including education and experience. Compensation includes an attractive
benefit package.

. Develops new programs and manages current programs including collaborative online degree programs and Outreach summer youth programs
. Designs and manages budgets, seeks alternate funding when feasible, maintains fiscal stability, ensures that program revenue and self-support requirements are met
. Assists with academic advisement and acts as a resource to adult students
. Recruits for programs, creates and implements recruitment plans as part of an Outreach team, and tracks and follows-up with prospects
. Works with faculty, instructional academic staff, and Outreach team to retain students
. Develops and/or expands collaborative programming initiatives
. Conducts evaluation and assessment of programs, provides reports of activities, and program impacts
. Works with the Outreach marketing professionals to reach the target markets/audiences
. Conducts needs assessment activities and environmental scanning within the interest areas identified by the campus
. Works with the colleges, departments and other program managers to ensure quality programming
. Other work as assigned

. Master’s degree or master’s degree in process from a regionally accredited institution, degree must be completed within two years of hire
. A minimum of four years of experience working effectively with adult, outreach, or continuing education students and being responsive to their unique needs
. Strong fiscal, organizational and administrative skills
. Excellent customer services skills
. Flexibility to work with a range of student and educator styles and personalities
. Evidence of working productively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
. Experience in the development and management of self-supporting programs and/or events
. Experience working effectively with online & distance education student populations and their unique needs
. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
. Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel including periodic overnight stays
. Ability to work under a flexible schedule that includes daytime, and periodic evening and weekend hours
. Experience in a university or college setting
. Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse populations and ability to contribute to the University’s commitment to enhancing awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages
