Location:  This position is located in Enrollment and Student Success at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Salary:  Starting salary is between $35,646 to $50,000 per year, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits.  A six-month probationary period is required.  This position is in pay schedule and range 07-04 and is non-represented.

Job Duties:  Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment and Student Success, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing marketing plans in support of student recruitment, alumni, and donor development, and the university brand across all media platforms.  This individual creates and coordinates advertising, promotion and publicity programs including database identification for target audiences, direct mail campaign, direct response database campaign, publications and promotion, social networking and related.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Knowledge of marketing, communication, and promotional trends; experience using social media as a public relations/marketing tool; and ability to compile and analyze results of marketing programs or initiatives.  Candidates will have organizational and planning skills including multi-tasking and management of multiple projects; will be detail-oriented; and have strong verbal interpersonal communication skills and excellent written communication ability.  Must be able to use MS Office programs.  Well qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in related field and a minimum of three years experience in marketing coordination and project management, including data analysis and reporting.
